ECI has been an AECOM company since AECOM’s inception in 1990 and operates within AECOM OpCo TCB.  As part of an AECOM branding initiative, ECI assumed the TCB name in 2005.  Currently, we operate as TCB's Dam and Hydropower Specialists. Though the name has changed, ECI's history and the availability of specialized talent continue today.

Founded by former members of the Chief Engineer's staff of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, TCB’s Dam and Hydropower Specialists have completed numerous consulting engineering assignments throughout the United States and in more than 49 countries.  Our focus of services is comprehensive in nature and ranges from water resources studies and planning, to design, construction management, inspection and procurement; as well as operation and maintenance, training, and safety training.  Types of projects include dams and reservoirs, hydropower and pumping plants, pipelines, tunnels, irrigation, drainage, agriculture, water conveyance, and storage. 

With a global experience portfolio, TCB's first projects were Bhumipol Dam and Hydroelectric Project in Thailand, Kremasta Dam in Greece, Wadaslintang Dam in Indonesia, and the Magat Dam in the Philippines. These dams remain the largest in their respective countries to this day. The excitement of TCB early start has carried over to present day.  The track record is impressive and includes final designs for zoned earthfill; earth and rockfill; concrete arch, gravity and buttress dams throughout the world, with dam ranging in height from 40 feet to 525 feet.
