TCB provided the boundary and topographic surveying of the new Houston Rockets sports arena in downtown Houston. The arena was to house the City’s NBA team and provide event seating. The surveying work included right-of-way alignment, site boundary and acquisition documents, street closure documents, utility investigation, digital terrain modeling, environmental hazardous spoil volumes, establishment of all construction control layout, construction specification compliance surveying and final as-built construction locations of major improvements. The project required a fast-track project schedule over a 24-month period that included critical path methods and quick mobilization. TCB coordinated with numerous design teams, the City of Houston, METRO, and the Downtown Management District. The project was completed on-time and within budget. |
