TCB is currently completing preliminary design and final design of this 1.8-mile bridge (Section 2 – Toll Bridge) over Lewisville Lake in Denton County. The NTTA and Denton County have partnered to advance the east-west corridor project from IH 35E to Frisco. The NTTA is responsible for the lake bridge, which will be the only tolled segment. The bridge will have four lanes and approximately 70 spans. The design and plans will comply with USACE requirements and environmental mitigations. TCB is participating in an aesthetic study to apply the NTTA’s System Wide Design Guidelines to the bridge and to possibly provide aesthetic enhancements to the center spans.
The new toll bridge will be a part of the Lewisville Lake Corridor connecting Swisher Road in Lake Dallas to Eldorado Parkway in Little Elm. When complete, motorists will be able to travel on a new connection between IH 35E and the Dallas North Tollway. |
