Environmental Impact Statement & Schematic Design Project
Growing traffic demand along the US 290 Corridor has resulted in increased congestion and a corresponding reduction in mobility. To accommodate the additional demand, the Texas Department of Transportation is planning a major renovation to the US 290 Corridor. The proposed solution calls for a multi-modal configuration to meet the corridor’s transportation needs.
TCB prepared an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) that analyzed alternatives and evaluated reasonable alternative schematic designs for the most feasible modal alternative. TCB is currently preparing alternative alignments and analysis to identify a preferred alternative. TCB is designing the schematic layout of this multimodal freeway facility including alternative interchange designs, preparation of typical sections, determining right-of-ways, cost estimates, construction sequencing, and public involvement. |
