P&D Consultants is in the first stages of the Caltrans Interstate 5 Highway Planting and Irrigation Project along a stretch in the Glendale-Burbank area of Los Angeles County. The project is designed to not only improve the aesthetic look but to control erosion. In this heavily-traveled area, there is a very real danger that sediments from eroded soil can flow onto the highway, creating safety and congestion problems and contributing to flooding. In every sense, the cost of preventing erosion is much less costly than treating its impacts.
