Restoration Services
EcoSystems Restoration Associates, a division of P&D Consultants is working together with AMEC to provide restoration services to the Otay Water District for the San Miguel Habitat Management Area (HMA). On this 200-acre project site, ERA's objective is to create and restore/enhance functional wetland habitat in Rickey Pond. To achieve this goal, ERA staff provided a comprehensive Restoration Plan that included guidelines for invasive plant removal, site preparation, implementation, maintenance, and biological monitoring. To date this species have been effectively controlled using a variety of mechanical, chemical and hand-pulling techniques in the most sensitive areas.
